Beta test comments

When beta testing ends, readers will need to log in to make comments. For now, if you spot anything you can fill in a comment box and send it. Beta test comments will not be published but will be read and acted upon as appropriate.

During the beta test period, a secure sockets layer (SSL) will be added to the site and users will be required to use the https protocol to encrypt their connection. Your web browser will handle this automatically, as it does for any other secure site.

Once beta testing ends, readers will need to subscribe and log in to comment. Some of these comments will be retained and shared at the foot of the content concerned. Hate speech of any description will lead to the removal of the logins involved, as will spam and drive-by advertising. You know what I mean.
