Mainstream media is designed to promote consumption, rather than inform the world’s struggling populations. No surprise then, that the people who are in the news, make the news and are chosen to make the whole thing glossy and sexy. Poor people are portrayed as victims, rich people as heroes and dead people as the collateral cost of modern living. Where does this vision of hell on earth come from? It usurps our rightful anger, justifies the unspeakable, stifles our aspirations for life.
Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.
